Queenscliff Blue Water Challenge 2017

Queenscliff Blue Water Challenge 2017

Raoul asked me to do my bit
and write a report – so this is it.

With wetsuits and bathers, barely dry
We headed to Queenscliff to give it a try
The day clouded over the closer we got,
Typical weather (like it or not)
We arrived at the beach – some with family in tow
All keen and ready to give it a go
Conditions looked good and the water clear
The buoys spread out behind the pier
We all headed down the beach to the start
Caps all donned, we looked the part
Some in wetsuits and some not
The gun was fired and off we shot
Owen was off ahead of the herd
And managed to snatch a spectacular third
Jaye was belted in the back
By a fellow swimmer on the attack
But she was able to pick up the pace
And got herself a worthy third place
We all finished one by one
And Tracy came equal with her son!
Before we met at the house with Jaye
A pair of smalls had gone astray
The owner didn’t seem to care
to cover up her derriere
Back to Jaye’s for a well earned lunch
(with plenty to drink, I have a hunch)
Another successful Beluga swim
With family and friends, it’s a certain win!

Thanks to Anthony for all the results.
